Start a Business to Make a Difference

It seems like many people's main goal in starting a business is to make 6 or 7-figures.

Money is necessary and earning good money in your business is super important, but there's more to business than money.

You can most likely make money doing what you're doing in business by working for a company.

So why did you decide to do what you do as a business?

I started my business to have the flexibility of being self-employed, but I also started it to be able to help people. Whether it was helping a couple capture memories as a wedding photographer or helping entrepreneurs promote their business via my online courses, at its core, my why is making a difference.

And it's essential to know your why in business.

Because that's what will keep you going through seven day weeks and months of paying yourself a three digit salary (if anything).

Earning big profits takes time. Probably way more time than you think.

I've been in business for almost 8 years and my top year has been $41k. After expenses and taxes, I still didn't take home what I did when I grossed $30k at a job.

But I'm still going, because I love being self-employed and making a difference in the journey of other entrepreneurs.

I'll admit that my biggest regret when starting my business was undercharging, and I aspire to make 6-figures with my business. There's absolutely no shame in that!

But along with your money goals, be rooted in your why.

While your why is personal and individual to you, if you're looking for help starting or growing your business, I'm here to help. (That's my why, after all!)
