How to Use Instagram Reels- and Why!
Disclaimer: Don't panic! If you decide not to hop on the Reels bandwagon you can still be successful on Instagram and in business. =) Reels is just one more tool to help, but it’s not essential.
Reels are Instagram’s latest feature that allow users to piece together 15-second videos set to music. Many of the functions on Reels are similar to Stories (such as filters, stickers, and writing), but Reels post to their own spot, currently the top of the Explore tab as well as on your profile as a tab in between your posts and IGTV (if you’ve posted any IGTV videos).
According to Instagram’s blog:
Reels invites you to create fun videos to share with your friends or anyone on Instagram. Record and edit 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects, and new creative tools. You can share reels with your followers on Feed, and, if you have a public account, make them available to the wider Instagram community through a new space in Explore. Reels in Explore offers anyone the chance to become a creator on Instagram and reach new audiences on a global stage.
To understand Reels more, they’re basically Instagram’s answer to TikTok.
Reels are a great way to share behind-the-scenes stories and glimpses into your personal life. Some people also share (super) short tutorials, product reviews, and more.
Why use Reels?
With any new feature, Instagram is going to promote the heck out of it. Early adopters of Reels have found increased engagement on their Instagram feed.
Using Reels also allows you to connect with your audience, which builds trust, loyalty, and sales.
