5 Reasons Why I Use Flodesk for Email Marketing
Email marketing is my favorite, but when I was starting out, it was super frustrating. Email marketing softwares were clunky and no matter how hard I tried, the pretty formatting I visualized never stuck on the actual email.
When I started my business I decided on Mailchimp, a software that offers free access for up to 2,000 subscribers. No brainer! But even Mailchimp is clunky, and a recent update made it seem completely foreign. (How do I find the contact page section?!)

It’s intuitive to use.

Sections are quick to find since the dashboard is uncluttered and to the point.
Email design works on the block system, so it’s drag and drop. What you see is exactly how the email looks when it sends, and there’s no coding involved! Talk about a time saver.
Automations are easy to set-up and quick to get the hang of. The system is pretty self explanatory!
Forms are simple to code in, and Flodesk offers tutorials (https://help.flodesk.com/en/) on exactly where to copy and paste the code for each website platform. (And yes, they have double opt-in!)
Flodesk has a bunch of awesome tutorials (not that I’ve had to watch many, the software is so intuitive), and their customer service is prompt.
Templates are beautiful and on brand.
Flodesk templates are categorized by goal, such as “Welcome,” “Make money,” and “Say thanks.” Each template is made up of blocks (text, image, graphic, button, and varying combinations) that are absolutely stunning and totally #upmyemailgame (as they say).
It’s quick and easy to create emails (built in branding guide!).
Unlike Mailchimp and other e-newsletter softwares, you can completely customize templates. And I’m not just talking the branding.
What frustrated me most about Mailchimp was being stuck with a template. If I chose a 2-column template, started designing my email, then decided a 3-column template would be better, I’d have to completely recreate the email on the 3-column template.
Because Flodesk works on the block system, all sections of a template can be swapped out for a different block.
And as for branding? There’s an entire section for you to upload your logo and input your brand colors.
So when you’re editing and email, every logo block automatically generates your logo, and when you want to change a font, button, or block color, your brand colors will appear in the color palette.
Analytics are simple to locate and understand.
Like other e-newsletter softwares, Flodesk allows you to see open rates, which devices readers viewed your email on, what they clicked, your unsubscribe rate, and more. The difference is how easy this information is presented.
You can view an individual email’s analytics, as well as analytics by subscriber.
